This album is, IMO, the hardest album. Jerry Cantrell's amazing guitar playing and Layne Staley's screaming vocals make this album what it is. With hits like "Rooster", "Would?", "Them Bones", "Down In a Hole", "Angry Chair", and more, Alice In Chains along with other Seatle bands would set the standard of Modern Rock in the 90's. The idea of this album came from a dream of Sean. This album is the lightest of all albums. You might call this album the Seatle AIC album b/c of fellow Seatlers like Chris Cornell of Soundgarden appearing on "Right Turn", Mark Arm of Mudhoney also appearing on "Right Turn", and Ann Wilson of Heart appearing on "Brother" and "Am I Inside", appearing on the album. Am I Inside -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JAR OF FLIES - EP Jar of Flies was the most critically acclaimed of all AIC albums. This EP was the FIRST EP ever to debut at #1 on the Music BillBoards. This album showed AIC aren't just a hard rocking band, but showed the softer side of the band. Spawning hits like the amazing "I Stay Away", "No Excuses", and more, Alice In Chains became one of the most prolific bands of the decade. Jar of Flies is currentley certified double platinum. Mad Season's members are Layne Staley on vocals, guitar - Mike Mcready of Pearl Jam on guitars - Barret Martin of Screaming Trees on drums - and John Baker Saunders on bass. Mad Season, which some call "The Seatle Supergroup", are no longer around, but gave us great hits such as "River of Deciet", "I Don't Know Anything", and "Long Gone Day" in which Mark Lanagen of Screaming Trees appears on.
